E.Q.U.I.P. Enterprises is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of federal and state government contracts across North Texas. You will travel weekly to sites, lead multiple teams, and ensure operations run smoothly with strong quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct experience managing multi-site operations.
• Proven ability to manage P&L and travel across North Texas.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Contract Performance: own the full scope of work across your assigned contracts — deliverables, timelines, quality standards, and compliance; conduct regular site visits; ensure locations meet specifications; resolve issues.
• People Leadership: lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of Project Managers, Supervisors, Crew Leads, and frontline personnel; coach, mentor, train, and manage employee relations.
• Financial Stewardship: manage P&L for your portfolio; operate within budget; conduct audits; take corrective action when needed.
• Customer Relationships: be the primary contact for customers; build trust through reliable service delivery; resolve escalations.
• Growth: identify opportunities to expand within your territory and grow revenue across locations.
• Reporting & Communication: deliver daily, weekly, and quarterly reports for leadership visibility into performance.
• Safety & Compliance: champion occupational safety across sites and protect assets.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Operations & Contract Performance You own the full scope of work across your assigned contracts — deliverables, timelines, quality standards, and compliance. You'll conduct regular site visits throughout North Texas, perform quality inspections, and ensure every location meets or exceeds contract specifications. When problems arise, you make the call and resolve them.
• People Leadership You lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of Project Managers, Supervisors, Crew Leads, and frontline personnel. This means coaching, mentoring, training, managing employee relations, and making the difficult personnel decisions when needed. You set the standard your people rise to.
• Financial Stewardship You manage P&L for your portfolio. You operate within budget, practice disciplined supply management, conduct daily, weekly, and monthly fiscal audits, and take corrective action when you identify negative trends. You don't wait to be told there's a problem — you find it first.
• Customer Relationships You are the primary point of contact for your customers. You build trust through consistent, reliable service delivery. You increase service standards, resolve escalations, and ensure your customers know they're in capable hands.
• Growth You identify opportunities to expand within your territory and work to grow revenue across your locations. You think like an owner, not just an operator.
• Reporting & Communication You deliver clear, accurate daily, weekly, and quarterly reports that give senior leadership full visibility into how your operation is performing — operationally and financially.
• Safety & Compliance You champion occupational safety across every site and serve as an awareness ambassador for Safety and Loss Prevention. You protect the organization's assets and resources through proactive cost control and sound decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience managing
• Proven area or multi-site management experience with P&L accountability
• Ability to communicate and influence credibly at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
• Strong track record building customer relationships and delivering client-focused solutions
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 100% travel across North Texas contract sites, including occasional out-of-town and overnight travel. Flexible schedule includes evenings and weekends when required. Company vehicle and gas card provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
• Experience with AbilityOne or Workquest contracts
• Background in facility management, janitorial services, or grounds maintenance operations
• P&L management experience
• Military service or veteran status
• Experience managing teams that include individuals with disabilities
• Active government security clearance
• CIMS (Cleaning Industry Management Standard), ISSA, or related facility management certification
• Experience using contract management or workforce management software
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety program implementation
