Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a segment of group homes and supervise staff to ensure high-quality services. You will coordinate services with vendors and ensure person-centered supports for individuals served.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and prior management experience. Responsibilities include training, ISP oversight, budgeting with leadership, and maintaining regulatory compliance across programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Prior management/supervisory experience.
  • Experience providing support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills; professional and adaptable.
  • Good reading, writing, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor services for licensure and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and supervise all personnel; indirect supervision of Direct Support Professionals.
  • Coordinate staff training in licensing, county/state standards, fire code and Medicaid regulations.
  • Provide initial orientation and ongoing training for employees.
  • Oversee ISP development process.
  • Monitor staff interactions and person-centered planning across the home.
  • Assist Senior Director/State Director with budgetary/fiscal components.
  • Lead development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support program growth and referrals; uphold professional standards.

Job Description

TheArea Manageris responsible forproviding managerial oversight and operation of a segmentof group homes.This position is also responsible for personnel, program, coordination of services and supports and the maintenance of high-quality service and supports to vendors, persons served and other stakeholders.

Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and ensure that servicesare in compliance with licensure and regulation standards.
  • Management/supervision of all personnel in designatedareaof responsibility. This role also provides indirect supervision for Direct Support Professionals.
  • Coordinate staff training in licensing, and county standards, state standards, firecodeand Medicaid regulations.
  • Provide initial orientation and ongoing training for employees toassistthem in developing andmaintainingservices and supports
  • Provide oversight to process of ISP development
  • Activelymonitoroverall staff-individual served interactions, individual served involvement in the community, home atmosphere, level of person-centered planning, and individuals exercising choice in their lives
  • In conjunction with the Senior Director/State Director,be responsible for the budgetary/fiscal components of the programs
  • Assume a leadership role in the development and implementation of organizational philosophy,policiesand procedures
  • Responsible for growth of the program and referrals.
  • Promote a positive and professional attitude to others.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification and regulatory standards for all services provided under the assigned case load.
Qualifications

  • Prior experience providing support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities preferred pr part of thelong termcare system
  • Mustpossesssound decision-making and communication skills; be responsible, professional, and flexible.
  • Good communicationis key in this role.You’llrely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
