Diamond Parking is seeking an Area Manager - Parking Services in Anchorage, AK to lead training and support for CSR representatives and Administrators, ensuring high customer service levels and timely financial deadlines.

The role supervises Leads and CSRs, coordinates scheduling and staffing, conducts audits and quality checks, and drives operational excellence while maximizing parking revenue and maintaining service quality. Onsite work with occasional after-hours is required.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school is required or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve basic problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous and professional relationships with customers, cities, subordinates, co-workers, and managers.
  • Train Leads and CSRs in customer service, procedures, time-card completion, and professionalism.
  • Conduct audits and take necessary action based on findings.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the facility; monitor and act promptly.
  • Create and maintain strategies to maximize parking revenue while maintaining service.
  • Onboard and schedule CSR staff; ensure Leads meet expectations.
  • Perform data entry, maintain accurate files, and support IT as needed.
  • Assist in special projects and maintain training materials.

Job Title: Area Manager - Parking Services
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager/General Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: This role is required to work during normal business hours with occasional weekend or after-hours work as needed.
Work Location: Onsite at assigned location

Position Overview

The Area Manager is responsible for the overall accountability for training and supporting CSR representatives, including Administrators. This role ensures a high level of customer service is maintained and financial deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned:

  • Customer Service: Provide a courteous and professional relationship with all customers, cities, subordinates, co-workers, and managers - "Treat others as you would want to be treated."
  • Training: Properly train Leads and CSRs in customer service, operational procedures, time-card completion, and professionalism.
  • Oversight & Quality: Conduct audits through audio advisory and reporting; take necessary action as needed.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure cleanliness, desk organization, and safety throughout the facility; monitor and act promptly.
  • Financial Responsibility: Create and maintain strategies to maximize parking revenue while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Scheduling & Staffing: Onboard and schedule CSR staff; ensure Leads meet expectations.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform data entry, assure task accuracy, and maintain organized files.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in special projects; maintain training materials; serve as IT contact for resolution.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise CSR representatives and Leads. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Duties include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and maintaining a cooperative working environment to maximize morale and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. Able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions and handle basic problems in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer literacy.

We maintain broad salary ranges for our roles in order to account for variations in experience, training, skills, geographic location, and market conditions, as well as to reflect our differing products and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting.
