Job summary

United Petfood is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 1st shift in Decatur, AR. You will inspect, maintain, and repair plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient production. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing; PLC familiarity is a plus. Monday–Friday schedule and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and act quickly to reduce downtime.
• Support equipment setup, calibration, and performance optimization.
• Adhere to safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation including work orders and logs.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability.
• Respond to emergencies and return equipment to service quickly.
• Manage maintenance supplies and spare parts.
