United Petfood is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift in Decatur, AR. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to maximize uptime and support production goals.

The position requires collaboration with production and quality teams, strict safety adherence, and accurate maintenance documentation. A minimum of 3 years’ experience and a high school diploma are required; technical certification or an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical cert or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (food manufacturing preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of mixers, conveyors, packaging equipment, and production machinery.
• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues; implement immediate corrective action.
• Support equipment setup, calibration, and performance optimization.
• Adhere to safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain documentation including work orders, logs, and inventory records.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams; participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Respond to emergencies and manage spare parts for repairs.
