Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Area Maintenance Manager to lead daily maintenance of multi-site facilities for a major client. You will oversee material handling operations, ensure safe working conditions, and coordinate a team of technicians to maintain high-speed conveyance systems and manufacturing equipment.

The role requires a technical degree and 4+ years of leadership in manufacturing maintenance, with strong communication, problem solving, and budgeting skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) required.
  • 4+ years leading and coaching employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years' experience with preventive/predictive maintenance in manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (thermography, vibration analysis, airborne ultrasound).
  • Experience using maintenance systems to achieve world class equipment maintenance.
  • Must be able to travel off-site as needed.

  • Provide performance management for team development and growth.
  • Plan staffing levels and labor utilization, including overtime.
  • Lead by example and model CBRE values.
  • Foster positive relations with client and operations maintenance teams.

About the Role

In this role you will lead daily functions of material handling operations and maintenance for multi-site facilities and ensure safe working environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain a safety-first culture in which CBRE employees return home in the same condition in which they reported to work.
  • Plan, schedule, and advise the work of employees and evaluate quality of work.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of employees engaged in maintaining high speed conveyance systems and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist Managers in communicating and accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in conjunction with Manager, interviewing/hiring, employee training, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and/or terminations.
  • Formulate, disseminate, and communicate work standards and/or procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead Root Cause and Corrective Actions to facilitate continuous improvement and development opportunities.
  • Provide performance management for team development and growth.
  • Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
What You’ll Need
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) required.
  • 4+ years demonstrated ability leading and coaching employee performance in a manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of compatible experience and/or training.
  • 2+ years' experience with preventive/predictive maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, as well as financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.
  • Understanding predictive maintenance technologies such as (thermography, vibration analysis, and air borne ultra-sound).
  • Proven knowledge of using maintenance systems to achieve world class equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to travel off-site as needed.
  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
