Volvo Trucks in Dublin, Virginia is seeking an Area Maintenance Manager to lead a manufacturing maintenance organization and drive reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. You will partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to support both daily operations and long-term goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of manufacturing management experience, or eight years of combined education and leadership experience.

• Or a minimum of eight (8) years of combined education and supervisory/management experience.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

• Drive VPS implementation, standardized ways of working, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure maintenance strategies support equipment reliability and uptime.

What You Will Do

As an Area Maintenance Manager, you will play an essential role in supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility in Dublin, Virginia. You will lead and develop the Maintenance organization within your assigned area, partnering closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to support both day-to-day operations and long-term business objectives.

Main Activities And Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance organization to achieve established safety, quality, delivery, cost, and performance KPIs, including activities related to Autonomous and Professional Maintenance.
• Lead, develop, coach, and engage Maintenance team members to build capability, strengthen accountability, and continuously improve performance.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the Volvo Production System (VPS), including standardized ways of working, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and employee involvement.
• Ensure effective maintenance strategies and practices are in place to support equipment reliability, uptime, and operational performance.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and other functions to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and achieve plant objectives.
• Provide leadership and oversight for maintenance projects, investments, equipment improvements, renovations, and other initiatives supporting current and future business needs.
• Support workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building within the Maintenance function.
• Establish and maintain a long-term maintenance roadmap, balancing immediate operational needs with mid- and long-term priorities.
• Ensure alignment and execution of plant strategy and policy deployment through all levels of the organization.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, continuous improvement, accountability, and respect.
• Build strong relationships with employees, leaders, internal partners, and other stakeholders to create an environment of trust and shared ownership.
• Monitor trends and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and make informed decisions that support business and operational goals.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $128,265.00 - $158,445.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as,, well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
