Maverick Transportation, LLC. seeks a customer service oriented dispatcher to support drivers and customers. You will communicate load details, allocate freight, and maintain profitable operations through effective telemarketing and problem solving.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent experience and offers hybrid work after training, with benefits including health, dental, and retirement plans. Experience in freight or logistics is preferred.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Provide customer service, technical and sales support to customers, peers, and drivers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email with customers, drivers, and internal and external Maverick associates.
• Dispatch and communicate accurate load information to trucks.
• Ensure and maintain the company's profitability by analyzing the needs of the company's internal and external customers and soliciting and assigning freight to appropriate drivers.
• Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers and maximize profits by using telemarketing skills to resolve problems, answer questions, solicit freight and track shipments.
• Service customers' requirements by understanding and maintaining the application of contracts and tariffs.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training. Ensures company confidentiality

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Prefer a four-year college degree with an emphasis in a related field to the position plus 6 - 12 months related experience and/or training and no previous management experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
