Pittsburgh, PA - Roswell Dr - Filling industrial
Youngstown, OH - Retail shop

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

• Locations: Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh areas
• 25% travel locally/regionally on a weekly basis, covering OH and W PA
• Based at an Airgas facility, hybrid flexibility.

Role Overview

The HR Manager partners with regional leadership teams to provide HR leadership and execution in talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee relations, labor relations, training, talent management, organizational development, HR compliance, and special projects. They coordinate activities with HR specialists across various functions and lead change initiatives related to talent and HR strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop trusted partnerships with business leaders, advising on organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee development.
  2. Lead onboarding processes, ensuring effective integration and retention of new hires.
  3. Partner with leaders to manage immersion processes for new sales and operations associates.
  4. Coordinate with Payroll and HR Coordinators for personnel changes.
  5. Administer salary actions ensuring fairness and competitiveness, lead annual salary reviews.
  6. Facilitate performance calibration processes.
  7. Engage employees in evaluating and improving the employee relations climate; conduct interviews and investigations as needed.
  8. Advise managers on performance management, discipline, and documentation ensuring policy compliance.
  9. Administer HR policies, recommend revisions, and ensure legal compliance.
  10. Contribute to HR strategy development and process improvements.
  11. Develop and deliver talent development and training programs.
  12. Perform other duties as needed.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field.
  • At least 3 years supporting a multi-site production, distribution, industrial, or retail workforce.
  • Labor experience preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and ER investigations.
  • Personable, professional, credible, and able to drive value.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and related systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office/Google Applications skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% overnight.
  • Adherence to safety programs and regulations.
