How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

* Locations: Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh areas
* 25% travel locally/regionally on a weekly basis, covering OH and W PA
* Based at an Airgas facility, hybrid flexibility.

Role Overview

The HR Manager partners with regional leadership teams, providing HR leadership and execution in talent acquisition, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations, training, talent management, organizational development, HR compliance, and special projects. The role involves coordination with HR specialists across various functions and leading change initiatives related to talent and HR strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, advising on organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, and performance coaching.
  2. Lead onboarding processes, ensuring effective integration and retention of new hires.
  3. Manage success of immersion processes for new sales and operations associates.
  4. Coordinate with Payroll and HR for accurate personnel processing.
  5. Administer salary actions, ensuring fair wages and leading annual salary reviews.
  6. Facilitate performance calibration processes to ensure effective performance management.
  7. Engage employees and managers in evaluating and improving employee relations climate.
  8. Advise on performance management, conduct investigations, and lead performance appraisals.
  9. Ensure HR policies and programs are compliant and effective, recommending revisions as needed.
  10. Contribute to HR strategy development and implementation, acting as a change agent.
  11. Develop and deliver talent development and training programs.
  12. Perform other duties as required to meet organizational needs.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field.
  • At least 3 years supporting a production, distribution, industrial, or retail workforce across multiple sites.
  • Labor experience preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and ER investigations.
  • Personable, professional, credible, and responsive.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office/Google Applications skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% overnight.
  • Adherence to safety programs and regulations.
