Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in the United States is seeking an experienced HR leader to oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations across multiple Sunrise communities.

This on-site role partners with department leaders, ensures compliance with employment laws, manages HR systems, and travels regularly between Staten Island and Fairfield County.

Strong communication, analytical skills, and healthcare or senior living experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience.
• Senior living or healthcare experience preferred.
• Supervisory and employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes.
• Ensure compliance with Sunrise Hiring Standards and employment laws.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members.
• Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
• Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management.
• Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations.
• Drive team member engagement initiatives and action planning.
• Deliver HR systems and policy training for front-line staff.
• Maintain audit readiness and complete monthly compliance controls (MKCC).
• Lead HR strategy and operations across multiple Sunrise communities.
• Provide on-site HR partnership across the Staten Island market and Fairfield County corridor.
• Travel regularly between communities.
