Pet Paradise is currently seeking an Area Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance operations and capital expenditures across multiple locations, managing both maintenance employees and external vendors.

Locations include:

  • Atlanta Airport in College Park, GA
  • Lawrenceville, GA
  • Peachtree City in Sharpsburg, GA
  • Snellville, GA
  • Woodstock, GA
  • Chattanooga, TN
  • Murfreesboro, TN
  • Birmingham, AL
Essential Functions
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, costs, and expenses at all facilities within their area.
  • Partner with Regional/Area and Resort Managers to uphold premium resort standards.
  • Manage a team of 6-8 maintenance associates, supervising according to company policies and laws.
  • Coordinate with HR on interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
  • Develop relationships with vendors for services like landscaping, pool, pest control, HVAC, etc.
  • Create preventative maintenance plans and perform audits to meet standards.
  • Review utility expenses with Resort Managers and participate in energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage work planning, employee evaluations, recognition, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance through inspections.
  • Handle purchasing, record-keeping, inventories, and budgets.
  • Collaborate on storm preparations and recovery.
Requirements
  • Experience managing up to 8 maintenance staff and working with corporate departments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to develop vendor relationships.
  • Flexibility for schedule needs including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call emergencies.
  • Up to 60% travel required.
  • Comfort around dogs of all sizes.
Education & Experience
  • At least 5 years managing maintenance and capital expenditures in multiple facilities.
  • Technical training or certifications in trades preferred.
  • Leadership skills and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work may involve exposure to various conditions including humidity, heights, chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical hazards, and loud noise. Physical activity may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and climbing.
