Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience and strong operational execution. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align priorities, and drive business results across locations.

You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, staffing, facilities, and compliance, while traveling between offices to maintain in-person presence and support seasonal demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to coach and develop teams across multi-unit settings.
• Strong client-centric mindset with a consultative service approach.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving operational and financial results across locations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with client escalations handling.
• Willingness to travel frequently across assigned offices.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices, ensuring standards are met.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact to reinforce strengths and close gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client-experience processes and tools with hands-on leadership.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, setting expectations and coaching for performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behavior and real-time feedback to strengthen teams.
• Identify patterns across offices, address performance gaps, and build bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices and monitor metrics.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Prepare offices for seasonal demand with staffing, facilities, and onboarding.
