Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Area Credit Manager to safeguard and accelerate recovery of its accounts receivable portfolio. This role reports to the Regional Credit Manager and collaborates with Sales and Credit teams to ensure adherence to credit policy and timely cash collection.

The position involves processing credit applications, reviewing accounts, and training toward progression into a Regional Credit Manager role. Domestic travel is expected in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Credit Management, preferably within a similar industry.
• CBA certification preferred from NACM.
• Experience in protection and collection of AR portfolios, including lien/prelien support.
• Proficiency in evaluating and releasing orders and establishing credit lines within authority.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable portfolio and safeguard assets under supervision.
• Make collection calls on due and overdue accounts with proper documentation.
• Review and release orders from ticket holds after evaluation.
• Process and approve credit applications and maintain credit lines.
• Oversee lien and bond rights and related collection processes.
• Communicate credit policy with sales, management and customers.
• Conduct thorough customer account reviews and provide recommendations.
• Track and reconcile deductions and oversee joint-check payments.
• Participate in credit team meetings and contribute to improvements.
