Job summary

Cardinal Group is seeking an Area Community Manager to oversee up to four communities in the Charlotte area. You will mentor onsite teams, manage budgets, and ensure lease, marketing, and maintenance operations meet annual goals while sustaining resident satisfaction.

The role is full-time, non-exempt with biweekly compensation and benefits; travel between communities (up to 20%) is required, and you will champion Cardinal Culture across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Community Manager with Cardinal Group and two years in residential property management.
• Strong knowledge of leasing, marketing, construction, residential law and resident relations.
• Reliable transportation to travel between communities up to 20% of the time.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Google Platform.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and prepare budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the annual responsibilities of Community Manager for assigned communities and mentor sister communities.
• Lead onsite maintenance, office and leasing teams and ensure operations meet goals.
• Coordinate resident relations, lease issues, repairs, and escalations as needed.
• Review budget variances, accounts receivable, and payables across communities.
• Support data integrity and training, including Cardinal U and related programs.
