1.0 OVERVIEW
The Area Clinical Manager role is responsible for planning and coordinating a comprehensive program to improve clinical outcomes and enhance rehabilitation value to clients while growing services throughout the community continuum of care. The Area Clinical Manager is part of TransPerfect Health’s leadership team, supporting DORs within assigned area sites and supervising all members of the facility rehabilitation team where an acting DOR is present.
2.0 DESCRIPTION
- Provide clinical and educational support to ensure superior clinical outcomes and community utilization.
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of therapy staff.
- Support, train, and orient Director of Rehab/Therapy staff.
- Complete, interpret, educate, and analyze trends in facility chart audits within the territory.
- Responsible for utilization growth and development of the rehabilitation department within assigned communities.
- Assist in maintaining clinical quality standards.
- Support the Director of Rehabilitation in identifying and implementing clinical and community program development needs.
- Assist the Director of Rehabilitation and Operations in promoting a positive work environment among employees, clients, and facilities.
- Deliver rehabilitation services: evaluation and treatment as indicated based on licensed scope of practice, maintaining a 25% productivity.
- Function as Director of Rehabilitation in the primary assigned community as needed.
- Mentor team members in rehabilitation.
- Serve as an additional liaison support between the Rehab Department, TransPerfect Health, and the community.
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by the manager or supervisor.
3.0 REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in therapy software, Net Health, and community-based EMR systems (e.g., PCC, MatrixCare).
- Knowledge of the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM).
- Ability to read and interpret clinical and performance management reports.
- Ability to travel to assigned community sites.
- Maintain professionalism in all situations.
4.0 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered PT/OT/ST with a current state license.
- Knowledge of state healthcare and CMS regulations.
- Experience with Telehealth.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience within the Geriatric Rehabilitation Industry.
5.0 DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Clinical and operational experience within the senior living and geriatric space.
- Supervisory experience within the therapy healthcare sector.
