JOB DESCRIPTION

Bathhouse is looking for an attentive, organized, hands-on, detail-oriented Attendant to join the Bathhouse Team at our Flatiron, NY location.

One of the roles of our attendants is to keep our pool, sauna, and locker room areas clean and maintained throughout the day and evening. This role consists of attending to a core set of responsibilities in an efficient manner and may be adjusted as Bathhouse needs change. The Pool Attendant reports to the Shift Supervisor.

This role will be an integral part of the team, responsible for providing high-quality service to Bathhouse guests by maintaining a clean and organized environment for guests to relax and appreciate the Baths.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tour the Bathhouse consistently with a high-level focus on pool area, public spaces, and reception area. Monitor and maintain cleanliness. Organize, restock towels and slippers, and address/correct issues throughout, including but not limited to collecting and depositing laundry for washing, collecting and depositing slippers for washing, collecting and depositing cups, and cleaning vacant lockers—Mopping, Vacuuming, Dusting all of the facility to keep it in a like new condition.
  • Organize and maintain dispensary, supply (“mop”) closets, and laundry room. Inventory materials (such as cleaning supplies, laundry soap, and amenities such as q tips and combs).
  • Organize and maintain the refuse and trash room. Remove full bags from all points throughout the building, replace them with new bags, break down and tie cardboard, and place them neatly in the trash room.

  • High School diploma or relevant qualification required.
  • 6 – 12 months of Attendant experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of pool management experience preferred.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule which may sometimes include mornings, nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to get certified in Adult CPR and First Aid training
  • Must be reliable and professional. The attendance policy is strictly observed.
  • Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Job Type: Full-time. This position is in demand seven days a week, with shifts from 8 am-4 pm and 4 pm-12 am.
  • Pay: $16.00- $22.00 /hour DOE
  • Free unlimited admission to Bathhouse with a plus one.
  • 50% off services, products and the restaurant.
