Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program.
• Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• ARDMS certification preferred or required depending on facility.
• Current California credentials applicable to the position.
• Previous Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging protocols, and patient positioning.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients throughout examinations.
• Evaluate images for quality and ensure appropriate anatomy is visualized.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals with diagnostic procedures.
• Follow patient safety, infection-control, and quality-assurance standards.
• Maintain equipment and report technical concerns as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with facility policies and regulations.
