Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies seeks a Structural Engineer to support the US Coast Guard CEU in Juneau, AK. The role covers independent technical reviews, project scope development, field investigations, and design production with AutoCAD drawings for projects across the D17 AOR.

Required are a structural or civil engineering degree with a major in structural, and at least 5 years of experience, plus hands-on AutoCAD expertise. Alaska/arctic experience and a PE license are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with National Building Codes including IBC/IRC.
• Hands-on AutoCAD experience required (5+ years).
• ABET-accredited advanced degree preferred (MS/PhD).
• Alaska/arctic project experience desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering services for USCG CEU Juneau.
• Perform technical reviews of studies, reports and analyses.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates and schedules.
