Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Structural Engineer for a full-time role in Juneau, AK. Responsibilities include technical reviews, scope development, field investigations, and design production with AutoCAD, along with facility condition assessments and cost estimates.

Requirements: 5+ years in structural engineering, a bachelor’s in Structural or Civil Eng, knowledge of IBC/IRC, and PE or equivalent license is desirable. Masters/PhD and Alaska/arctic experience are a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of work experience in structural engineering.
Minimum 5 years hands-on AutoCAD experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Experience with National Building Codes (IBC/IRC) and related sub-disciplines.
Master’s or PhD in Structural/Civil Engineering preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer or related licenses desirable.
Experience in Alaska/arctic projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide Structural engineering services for projects under the Advanced Acquisition Plan and related initiatives.
Provide technical reviews and guidance to Project Managers.
Conduct comprehensive technical reviews of studies, reports and analyses.
Collaborate with managers, engineers, architects, construction PMs, legal staff, contract specialists and contractors to resolve complex problems.
Provide technical responses for design and contract modifications with A/E teams.
Provide facility condition assessments and evaluations.
Travel to meet staff and review contract performance as needed.
