Job summary

ASRC Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy construction vehicles and equipment. The role covers shop and field work with potential guidance to apprentices, requiring strong troubleshooting and safety adherence in Arctic environments.

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience with powertrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus NSTC safety certification; a valid Alaska/US CDL is preferred for on-site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and valid U.S. driver's license.
• NSTC safety training certification required.
• Minimum 5 years in troubleshoot/repair of powertrain, hydraulics, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize reliability.
• Troubleshoot major components and systems (engines, hydraulics, electrical, brakes).
• Disassemble and reassemble components with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Work in shop or field; follow safety procedures in arctic conditions.
• Maintain records and repair documentation promptly.
• Train apprentices and provide guidance as needed.
