Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience.
  • Legally authorized to work full time in the United States for an employer other than the candidate's current employer.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive independently throughout North Slope field locations.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift independently and without direct supervision.
  • Ability to differentiate colors accurately.
  • Ability to participate in and comply with a respiratory protection program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret meters, gauges, written instructions, and operating information.

Responsibilities

  • Report analytical data using LabVantage Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Business Objects.
  • Analyze custody-transfer crude oil samples.
  • Perform fieldwide sampling and routine analysis of production facility systems, including glycol, gas, water, and oil systems.
  • Collect and prepare wellhead program samples, including SIR samples, and collect non-routine samples as required.
  • Perform maintenance pig sampling and analysis, biocide envelope sampling, and monthly Bureau of Land Management gas sampling and recordkeeping.
  • Submit requests for laboratory equipment, materials, and supplies, and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Update laboratory sampling and analytical procedures.
  • Maintain the safe, reliable, and effective operation of the Alpine Laboratory.
  • Validate data for accuracy and correct identified errors.
  • Support corrosion monitoring efforts intended to extend the service life of facilities, pipelines, and other field assets.
  • Identify and support opportunities to expand laboratory analytical capabilities.
  • Assist operators with routine drill site and facility work, including pigging support, installation and removal of EIPs, flange management, and related operating tasks.
  • Inspect and perform minor repairs on operating equipment and tools; manage operations materials and inventories.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintain orderly laboratory and work areas.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, respiratory protection, and training requirements.
