Job summary

Fairweather in North Slope, Alaska is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee safety, health, environmental and training programs. You will develop policies, lead safety campaigns, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations across remote Arctic operations.

This contingent role requires 5+ years in safety management, a bachelor’s degree, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work a 14-on/14-off field schedule in challenging

Qualifications

  • Five (5+) years minimum management experience in safety, training, and industrial hygiene, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, or related experience.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Supports North Slope operations as assigned.
  • Identifies safety and health hazards by surveying conditions; investigates violations and recommends preventive programs.
  • Develops safety systems, policies, and procedures; trains managers and employees.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and advises management on actions needed.
  • Enforces safety policies by conducting inspections and reporting statistics.
  • Coordinates health management activities including risk assessments and education.
  • Coordinates with safety regulatory agencies at various levels.
  • Conducts monthly safety training programs at various locations.
  • Develops and maintains the company’s safety policies and procedures manual.
  • Investigates accidents to determine causes and preventive measures.
