Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Vehicle Mechanic (wheel or track) to support the U.S. Army CATV program in Alaska.

This full-time contract role involves field maintenance, troubleshooting, and occasional travel to other Alaska sites. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, U.S. citizenship, and 4+ years of hands-on heavy equipment experience or military MOS-E-4+ with strong diagnostic skills across subsystems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government contract compliance.
• Military MOS E-4+ or civilian automotive/heavy equipment mechanic with 4+ years hands-on experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills across vehicle subsystems; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CATV systems, including drivetrain, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct warranty repairs, retrofits, upgrades, and modifications as required by program needs.
• Provide field and garrison technical support to U.S. Army, Army National Guard, and Reserve units.
• Accurately document maintenance actions and communicate findings through reports and Microsoft Office tools.
• Support and mentor operators through on-the-job learning and hands-on demonstrations.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and government contract requirements.
• Operate effectively in extreme cold-weather field environments for extended periods.
