Job summary

LTM is seeking an Archives Technical Engineer for its Iselin, NJ location to support and improve our News Production and Archives workflows.

You will manage tape digitization pipelines, maintain hardware and software, and work with IT, Engineering, and Operations to deliver reliable archival services. This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, strong communication, and a client-facing mindset in a dynamic media environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-focused field with 3.0 GPA or higher.
Experience with video digitization workflows is required.
Strong troubleshooting and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide frontline technical support for robotic tape systems and ingest/ QC platforms.
Configure and maintain tape digitization hardware and software for optimal performance.
Troubleshoot digitization issues including errors and data corruption.
Perform preventative maintenance on software and hardware to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to resolve issues.
Coordinate with vendors for remote support and RMAs.
Quality-check digitized files to meet archival standards.
Communicate updates to clients and ensure satisfaction.
Document issues and resolutions clearly.
