Job summary

Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, MN seeks an Archives and Art Student Assistant to support archives and art staff and contractors with transferring collections to Luther Seminary’s new building and partners. This in-person, part-time role (4–5 hours weekly) begins in early September.

You will help inventory collections, assist with appraisals, move materials, rebox items, and answer research questions. Ideal for a current student interested in archives or art collections, able to lift up to 30

Qualifications

• Current Luther Seminary student.
• Experience with art collections or willingness to learn about archival collections.
• Able to lift and move boxes up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Aiding in creating a high-level inventory of archives and art collections.
• Identifying items and providing appraisal recommendations.
• Moving archival and art materials throughout campus.
• Reboxing of archival material.
• Assisting in answering research questions from users.
• Providing general archives and art department support.
• Other duties as assigned.
