Job summary

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking an Archive Services Librarian to develop, manage, and enrich metadata for the college archives, both physical and digital.

The role splits 50/50 between archival duties and reference/instruction, with all librarians performing public service tasks such as circulation, reference, instruction, and liaison work. Location: Salisbury, NC campus; onsite presence required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science (ALA-accredited).
• 1 year of professional archive experience.
• 1 year of professional librarian experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of library circulation activities and assists patrons.
• Develops, maintains, and evaluates collections; catalogs materials.
• Prepares operational records and reports; coordinates library operations.
• May supervise staff and participate in evaluations.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
