Ancestry in Detroit, MI is seeking a detail-oriented Archival Digitization Technician to execute high-volume media scanning and inventory projects in our warehouse, handling historical photo assets and barcode tracking. You will operate high-speed rolling scanners, log assets into the inventory system, ensure quality, and upload batches to cloud storage, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Experience operating rolling/document scanners and barcode inventory logging.
• Comfort with computer systems, databases, and high-volume scanning equipment.
• Detail-oriented and efficient for repetitive tasks.
• Ability to move archive boxes up to 20–30 lbs in a warehouse.
• Reliable with strong attendance to complete the contract timeline.

Responsabilidades

• Unpack photo collections, apply barcode labels, and log assets in the inventory system.
• Feed media into high-speed scanners at ~1,000 images/hour.
• Match scanned files to barcode numbers and follow folder naming conventions.
• Spot-check scans for alignment, resolution, and completeness.
• Upload batches to cloud storage and maintain daily logs.
