Job summary

The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Architecture Section Head in the Austin E. Knowlton School.

The Section Head provides academic and administrative leadership for the Architecture section, working with faculty, the Knowlton School Director, and College of Engineering leadership to support excellence in teaching, scholarship, and student success. This tenured role starts as early as Fall 2027.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture (M.Arch/B.Arch or international equivalent).
• Master’s or advanced degree in architecture or related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of excellence in scholarship, creative activity and/or professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective academic and strategic leadership for the Architecture section.
• Support faculty scholarship, recruitment for tenure/promotion, and mentoring of faculty.
• Allocate and administer the Architecture section budget and collaborate with the Director and staff.
