Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior architect/project manager in Arizona to lead multi-disciplinary project teams through all phases of milestone-based delivery for data center and design-firm projects. The role requires strong leadership, contract management, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience across design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
• Certification as a license professional preferred.
• Proven experience leading teams through all phases of milestone-based project delivery.
• Basic knowledge of architectural contracts and contract execution procedures.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Experience using collaboration tools such as Bluebeam, Miro, and Teams.
• Demonstrated professional expertise with Data Centers is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through all phases of project delivery, including contracts, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
• Manage project schedules, staffing workplans, financial performance, deliverables, quality, and profitability.
• Ensure contracts are in place before executing deliverables.
• Create milestone-based schedules and Project Charters with QA/QC plans.
• Assist with proposals and RFP responses.
• Monitor financial status and conduct reviews; review invoicing and billing.
• Produce weekly updates on deliverables, finances, contracts, and permitting.
• Lead internal and external project team meetings.
• Oversee Construction Administration activities, including RFI and Submittal log reviews.

Job description

• Lead project teams through all phases of project execution, including contract management, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration
• Manage project schedules, staffing workplans, financial performance, deliverables, quality, and profitability
• Ensure contracts are in place before execution of contract deliverables
• Create and maintain milestone-based project schedules and detailed Project Charters with QA/QC plans
• Assist with project proposals and RFP responses
• Monitor project financial status and conduct intermediate financial reviews
• Review monthly project invoicing and consultant billing
• Produce and issue weekly project updates covering deliverables, financial updates, contracts, and permitting
• Lead or direct internal and external project team meetings
• Participate in Quality Control procedures and review externally distributed deliverables
• Oversee Construction Administration activities, including RFI and Submittal log reviews and attendance at OAC meetings
• Review site visit reports and punch lists
• Host project debrief meetings and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Initiate and finalize project close-out procedures in alignment with contractual obligations
• Manage internal and external resources and team-member performance
• Conduct monthly 1:1 check-ins and mid-year and year-end performance reviews for people managers

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field
