CESO is seeking an Architecture Manager to provide strategic leadership for design development and delivery across diverse projects. The role balances workload across offices, mentors senior staff, and ensures high design standards while managing budgets and schedules.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Architecture, 12+ years of experience, and RA licensure with multi-state eligibility. Travel is required; NCARB/ CCS/ CDT preferred. CESO values collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience is required.
• Registered Architect (RA) licensure required and multi-state licensure to become a signatory for CESO.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for design development and delivery of architectural solutions.
• Supervise architecture teams and mentor staff to support growth and performance.
• Oversee budgets, labor utilization, and resource planning at the Business Unit level.
• Ensure projects meet client program requirements within budget and schedule constraints.
• Assist with proposals, budgets, and design strategies from concept through completion.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and participate in quality reviews.

At CESO, an Architecture Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the design development and delivery of architectural solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. This position is responsible for upholding design excellence, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and codes, and aligning with firm-wide best practices. An Architecture Manager drives innovation in design, fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in design processes and documentation. In addition to managing team schedules and design workflows, this position plays a key part in balancing workload across offices, mentoring staff, and contributing to cross-functional initiatives.

• Assist team members by providing technical direction.
• Supervise architecture teams and serve as a senior technical resource for resolving complex design challenges and project issues.
• Mentor and coach (Sr) Team Leads, (Sr) Architects / (Sr) Design Coordinators, and other architectural production staff to support skill development, performance consistency, and career growth.
• Oversee team budgets, labor utilization, and resource planning at the Business Unit level, as led by (Sr) Team Leads at a program and project level, to support efficient project execution and alignment with Business Unit goals.
• Ensure architectural teams meet client program requirements within established budget and schedule constraints.
• Apply advanced knowledge of architectural design principles and practices to guide project execution and support team decision-making.
• Facilitate regular team meetings to share updates, reinforce standards, best practices, and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Assist Project Managers and Team Leads in the preparation of proposals, budgets, and design strategies from concept through completion.
• Ensure company QA/QC procedures and standards are adhered to by project teams, and assist with project Quality Assurance reviews, as needed, to support complex projects and/or project schedules.
• Supervising direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field is required.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience is required.
• Registered Architect (RA) licensure is required.
• Obtain multi-state licensure as required by CESO to become a signatory for the company.
• NCARB Certification is preferred.
• CSI – CCS and or CDT certification is preferred.
• Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Newforma Konekt.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit, and/or AutoCAD.
• Ability to travel.
