Job summary

Precast Product Solutions is seeking an Architecture / Drafting Intern to gain hands‑on experience in the construction and fabrication industry. Interns will transform sketches into detailed shop drawings and submittals, learning drafting standards and project workflows.

You will work with project managers and engineers to prepare drawings, review for accuracy, and assist with documentation. Ideal for students or recent graduates eager to apply classroom knowledge in a supportive field

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program.
  • Familiarity with architectural or technical drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise shop drawings based on project plans, specifications, and dimensions.
  • Convert hand sketches and concepts into accurate, scaled digital drawings.
  • Prepare drawings and documentation for project submittals.
  • Develop detailed drawings for fabrication and construction using provided information.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions from project managers and engineers.
  • Organize and maintain project drawings and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, and fabrication teams to gather necessary information.
  • Interpret architectural, engineering, and construction plans.
  • Learn and adhere to company drafting standards and project requirements.
  • Assist with other drafting and project‑related tasks as assigned.

  • Good mathematical and measurement skills.
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a construction or fabrication environment.
