Group PMX is seeking an Architecture / Building Quality Manager at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago. The role emphasizes developing the Architectural Quality Management Plan and ensuring compliance with various standards. Ideal candidates will bring over 10 years of construction experience, with significant time in quality management within large commercial or aviation projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years in QA/QC or quality management.
• Experience on large commercial, transportation, or aviation projects required.
• Experience in phased construction within active facilities strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement the Architectural Quality Management Plan in alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, Chicago codes, and aviation standards.
• Oversee QA/QC for building envelope and interiors.
• Perform field inspections and audits in airport environments.
• Manage NCRs and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and support phased handovers.

Architecture / Building Quality Manager (Aviation)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Architectural Quality Management Plan (QMP) in alignment with CDA and project requirements.
• Ensure all architectural works comply with contract documents, Chicago codes, ADA, and aviation standards.
• Oversee QA/QC for building envelope, interiors, and passenger‑facing spaces (curtain wall, roofing, finishes, waterproofing).
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, material samples, and method statements.
• Perform field inspections and audits in active airport environments, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational constraints.
• Manage NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions to ensure timely resolution and turnover readiness.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and airport stakeholders to resolve quality and constructability issues.
• Ensure compliance with life safety, fire‑rated assemblies, and accessibility requirements.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and support phased handovers in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Lead QA/QC staff and promote a strong quality culture.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years in QA/QC or quality management.
• Experience on large commercial, transportation, or aviation projects (airport terminal experience preferred).
• Experience in phased construction within active facilities strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of architectural systems (envelope, finishes, fire‑rated assemblies).
• Understanding of ADA, IBC, and life safety requirements in public‑use facilities.
• Familiarity with aviation project standards and 24/7 operational constraints.
• Experience with QA/QC platforms (Procore, Aconex) and BIM tools (Revit/Navisworks).
