Job summary

SummitLab, an architecture firm based in Akron, seeks an experienced Architectural Technologist to create and implement technical drawings and plans for construction projects and oversee the technical aspects of projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field and a minimum of 3 years of architectural technology experience, with proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural technology or a similar role.
Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
Knowledge of building codes regulations and construction processes.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Create detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans.
Oversee the technical aspects of construction projects including materials selection and building systems.
Conduct site visits to ensure project progress and quality control.
Assist in project management tasks such as budgeting and scheduling.
