Placements24 is recruiting an Architectural Technologist to join a dynamic team in Welkom, South Africa. You will develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using CAD and BIM, ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.

The role requires strong drafting skills and collaboration with architects and engineers. Ideal candidates have a National Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology and a minimum of four years' experience, with proficiency

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations applicable in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and construction documentation using CAD and BIM.
• Ensure drawings and specifications comply with building codes and Welkom regulations.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop technical design solutions.
• Prepare documentation for building plan approvals and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct site inspections to verify site conditions and monitor construction quality.
• Research and recommend appropriate building materials and techniques for project requirements.
