Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a meticulous Architectural Draftsperson to produce accurate drawings and technical documentation under the supervision of architects. You will translate design concepts into detailed plans suitable for construction and BIM workflows.

Ideal candidates have a National Diploma in Architectural Technology, 3–5 years of experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and ideally experience with Revit and drafting standards.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD software.
• Assist in the development of BIM models and documentation using Revit.
• Prepare specifications and schedules for materials and finishes.
• Coordinate drawings with other disciplines, such as structural and mechanical engineers.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant building codes and standards in South Africa.
• Maintain organized digital and physical drawing files for easy retrieval and project management.
