Job summary

Gray AES in Charlotte, NC or Lexington, KY seeks an Architectural Tech I to join our office. You will work with design managers to prepare architectural plans, assist with project layouts, and produce contract documents.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture with 2–5 years of experience, is proficient in Revit, and has strong computer skills. This is an on-site opportunity with a collaborative team and room for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 2–5 years of experience.
• Revit design experience highly preferred; architectural drawings required.
• Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email.
• Physically present in a Gray office.

Responsibilities

• Prepares architectural plans as directed by design managers.
• Assists with project layout and integrates engineering elements into design.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for customers and subcontractors.
• May assist design managers in administration, review, and coordination of project submittals.
• May periodically assist design managers in conducting on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Prepares studies and reports.
• Prepares project designs and plans using computer aided design software and equipment.
