Job summary

Gray AES is seeking an Architectural Tech I to join our team in Charlotte, NC or Lexington, KY. You will support design managers by preparing plans, drafting documentation, and coordinating with sub-consultants in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with 2–5 years of experience, proficiency in Revit, and solid computer skills. On-site work is required at a Gray office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience designing in Revit and producing architectural drawings.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, design software and e-mail.
• Physically present in a Gray office.

Responsibilities

• Prepares architectural plans as directed by design managers and assists design managers in construction administration activities.
• Assists with layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for customer review and approval.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for customers, construction personnel, sub-consultants, and design-build subcontractors.
• May assist design managers in administration, review, and coordination of project submittals.
• May periodically assist design managers in conducting on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Prepares studies and reports.
• Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment.
