Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking an Architectural Sales Rep to drive demand for building envelope solutions among Architects, Engineers and Consultants. You will work with the Technical Sales team to secure projects, influencing design and bidding phases and expanding relationships with target customers.

The ideal candidate has a building science/construction background with technical sales experience and will manage multiple stakeholders through the design and specification process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related industry experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S) or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software (Salesforce) is preferred.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; team oriented and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Persuade design/architectural community on the value propositions for Carlisle solutions.
• Own the spec-to-ship process, interfacing with architectural/consulting community to drive sales.
• Grow commercial, institutional and multi-family sales year over year.
• Engage in prospecting for new opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.

Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for driving demand for Commercial & Residential Building Envelope and Systems solutions through Architects, Engineers and Consultants (AEC community). Working collaboratively with the Technical Sales team to secure projects, this role is essential to delivering maximum value to customers. Through adherence to the BES Playbook, the Architectural Sales Representative will establish value in the design stage and bidding process, working closely with the AECs. The ideal candidate will have a building science and/or construction background and is familiar with technical sales. This role will interface with target and key customers to strengthen and grow existing relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Persuade design/architectural community on the value propositions for Henry a Carlisle Company solutions.
• Ownership of the ‘spec-to-ship’ process, interfacing closely with the architectural and consulting community to drive a higher level of specified sales for both new construction and restoration.
• Ability to rapidly grow commercial, institutional and multi-family sales to deliver year-over-year growth.
• Actively engage in prospecting for new opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
• Manage relationships throughout multiple levels of the construction process (Architect, Engineer, Consultant and Owner) to ensure our value proposition is clearly understood and leveraged.
• Disciplined approach to market segmentation and time management
• Track opportunities using our CRM, collaborating with other members of the Technical Sales team to secure projects throughout the sales process.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Required:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge:

• Skills:
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential; team oriented and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Ability to read and create construction details will be considered assets. Demonstrated experience to effectively track projects through the specification and bidding stage.
