Job summary

DLR Group, a multi-disciplinary design firm, is hiring a Project Manager in Charlotte, NC. The role oversees one or more projects, guiding teams, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring schedules, budgets, and fees are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design.
• 8+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years as a project manager.
• Professional licensure preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and sustainable design principles.
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills with multitasking ability.
• Working knowledge of local building and zoning codes.
• Portfolio/work samples in PDF format requested.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of one or more projects and manage project teams.
• Coordinate with external consultants and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Maintain high standards of quality and design excellence throughout the lifecycle.
• Account for financial success and budget tracking of projects.
• Support business development through RFQ/RFP participation and interviews.
• Negotiate scope of services, fees, and agreements with clients and consultants.
• Input and update client/project information into management systems.
• Develop project plans with schedules, milestones, and staffing.
• Lead project teams, vendors, and consultants to meet scope and quality targets.
• Monitor milestones and submittals, ensuring quality standards are met.
