About Emerald

Emerald is a women-owned firm providing architectural, interior, and construction services through integrated design-build or standalone design and construction offerings. Our projects include residential renovations, additions, custom homes, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), modular construction, and commercial projects.

We are currently seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our growing team. This individual will independently lead residential architectural projects, coordinate clients and consultants, and develop comprehensive construction documents while working closely with our architect and construction team.

If you are technically strong, confident working independently, and enjoy taking ownership of projects from design through construction, we would love to hear from you.

About this Position

We are seeking a hands-on Architectural Project Manager with substantial residential experience and strong construction documentation skills. This role combines project leadership with active Revit production, consultant coordination, code research, permitting, and construction administration. The right candidate will manage multiple projects with limited day-to-day oversight while collaborating with the firm’s licensed architect on design direction, technical review, and professional responsibilities. Commercial project experience is highly valued.

  • Independently manage residential architectural projects from design development through construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration
  • Personally produce and coordinate complete construction document sets in Autodesk Revit, including plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and technical details
  • Manage project schedules, priorities, milestones, and deliverables across multiple active assignments
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and municipal officials
  • Research and apply zoning requirements, Massachusetts building codes, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Coordinate structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other consultant documents with architectural drawings
  • Develop constructible details for foundations, framing, building envelopes, and interior assemblies
  • Prepare permit submissions, respond to plan review comments, and coordinate revisions with permitting authorities
  • Identify drawing conflicts, code issues, and technical gaps early and proactively resolve them with the project team
  • Support construction administration through RFIs, submittals, site visits, field observations, and documentation
  • Collaborate directly with our construction team to improve constructability, quality, and coordination
  • Maintain accurate project files, drawing standards, and clear communication regarding progress and outstanding decisions

This is a full-time, office-based position working with our small architectural team in Leominster, Massachusetts, with occasional project site visits throughout our service region.
