Job summary

BC Architects AIA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead projects from design through permitting and construction admin in Coral Gables, Florida.

You will manage schedules, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and serve as the primary client contact. The role requires 8+ years of architectural experience with at least 4 years managing complex projects, strong knowledge of Florida codes, and Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; licensure is a plus.
• 8+ years of professional architectural experience, including 4+ years leading complex projects.
• Thorough knowledge of Florida Building Code, Florida Fire Prevention Code, Florida Accessibility Code, and local requirements.
• Strong background coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams with owners, contractors, and CMs.
• Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Revit is required; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, MS Office 365, AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings; track actions and follow up as needed.

• Review documents for quality, constructability, code compliance, and coordination.
• Coordinate permitting and respond to plan review comments.
• Participate in construction administration including RFIs, submittals, ASIs, field observations, punch lists, and closeout.
• Identify issues and develop proactive solutions; monitor scope, staffing, and status to leadership.

BC Architects AIA, Inc. (BCA), is a Coral Gables-based architecture and multidisciplinary design firm with over 35 years of experience and an extensive portfolio of mid-rise and high-rise multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects throughout Florida.

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to join our team and take a leadership role in managing projects from design through permitting and construction administration.

What you'll do:

• Manage architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Coordinate internal project teams and multidisciplinary consultants, including structural, MEP, civil, landscape, life-safety, and specialty consultants.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Lead project, consultant, OAC, and client meetings; track action items and follow up as needed.
• Oversee the development and coordination of architectural drawings, specifications, and BIM/Revit models.
• Review documents for quality, completeness, constructability, code compliance, and coordination.
• Coordinate permitting and responses to plan review comments.
• Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, ASIs, field observations, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Identify project issues and proactively develop solutions.
• Monitor project scope, staffing, schedules, and additional services, and communicate project status to firm leadership.

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years of professional architectural experience, including at least 4 years managing complex architectural projects, preferably high-rise multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. Architectural registration/licensure is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of the Florida Building Code, Florida Fire Prevention Code, Florida Accessibility Code, and applicable local jurisdiction requirements.
• Strong experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and collaborating effectively with owners, contractors, and construction managers.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Revit required.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, and AutoCAD required. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 is a plus.
