Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Senior Architectural Project Manager for Starbase Development to lead end-to-end architectural projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings, supporting Starship production and the Starbase campus buildout as a gateway to Mars.

You will coordinate with design teams, engineers, and contractors, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure successful project close-out while meeting site needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience with architecture/engineering of capital projects.
• Licensed architect in Texas or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from end-to-end, including design, permitting, procurement, construction and close-out
• Serve as primary point of contact between design teams, internal engineering, contractors, subcontractors, maintenance teams and end users
• Define project requirements and prepare preliminary designs including siting, massing, and programming
• Produce conceptual 3D renders and visualizations to support design reviews
• Own project controls, including schedule and cost; drive projects to meet budgets and timelines
• Write, negotiate, and manage design and construction contracts with subcontractors
• Coordinate project designs with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, network, AV, fire & life safety engineers
• Manage permitting and inspection processes with local authorities
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, shop drawings and resolve design conflicts on site
