Job summary

HKS, Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks an architect with strong independent judgment to develop and coordinate complex architectural documents and models. You will translate design intent into implementable drawings while coordinating with consultants and internal teams.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited architecture degree, is pursuing registration, and brings typically 4+ years of experience. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Rhino/Grasshopper and related tools is preferred.

Qualifications

Accredited professional degree in Architecture.
Actively pursuing Architectural Registration.
Typically 4+ years of experience.
Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling (Rhino/Grasshopper) preferred.

Responsibilities

Modifies or creates implementation documents and complex drawings with limited guidance, applying architectural techniques and procedures requiring independent judgment.
Coordinate design group interaction internally and with consultant teams.
Manage project work of the architectural team as appropriate.
Perform design computations and document preparation, reflecting design intent and coordinating with consultants.
Assist with review and coordination of implementation documents to meet codes and zoning requirements.
Participate in team meetings to discuss project issues and coordination with other disciplines.
Understand financial implications of overhead and chargeable time, and contribute to project profitability.
Support client relationships and assist in pursuing new project opportunities.
