Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Texas is seeking a Project Designer III to support planning, design, and documentation of complex architectural projects under a licensed architect. You will contribute to development of conceptual and construction documents and may lead or manage projects of moderate to high risk.

The role requires proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, plus strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
Minimum 2+ years of professional architectural experience.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Office 365.
Strong design, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead or support development of client-focused design concepts.
Prepare, modify, and update architectural drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.
Translate design concepts into detailed presentation and construction documents.
Conduct programming, site planning, and schematic design using 2D/3D modeling tools.
Ensure regulatory compliance by applying building codes and zoning.
Interface with clients to present design ideas and resolve issues.
Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and other disciplines.
Support or lead construction administration activities, including reviews and RFIs.
Develop material boards and visual presentations for internal/client use.
Stay informed on construction methods, graphic standards, and best practices.
Research materials and systems to support quality design and documentation.
