Job summary

Carter Lumber Company seeks an Architectural Millwork Installation Specialist to install custom wood products, cabinetry, casework, and wall panel systems on commercial projects. You will read plans, perform field measurements, and securely fasten components to meet project specifications.

The role requires travel to project locations, coordination with project teams, and adherence to CAM quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience installing commercial cabinetry, architectural millwork, wood moldings, solid-surface products, or wall panel systems.
Ability to read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and field measurements.
Knowledge of installation tools, equipment, and fastening methods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift and maneuver materials and equipment used in installation.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Willingness to travel to project locations and stay overnight; travel may include Georgia and other CAM service areas.
OSHA and First Aid certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Install custom wood products, cabinetry, casework, solid-surface materials, wall panel systems, and related architectural millwork.
Read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and installation details.
Field-fit, trim, scribe, level, and securely fasten products to meet project requirements.
Complete installations accurately and efficiently per CAM quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, general contractors, and other trades.
Identify field conditions or installation concerns and communicate them promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
Complete punch-list and warranty work when required.
Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
