Job summary

Carter Architectural Millwork is seeking an Installation Specialist to install custom wood products, cabinetry, millwork, and wall panel systems on commercial projects.

The ideal candidate reads plans, uses installation tools, and collaborates with project teams to maintain high craftsmanship and safety on site. Travel within Georgia and CAM service area may be required; a valid driver’s license and OSHA/First Aid are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience installing commercial cabinetry or architectural millwork preferred.
• Ability to read plans, shop drawings, and field measurements.
• Knowledge of installation tools and fastening methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift and maneuver materials and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Willing to travel to project locations and stay overnight; travel may include GA and CAM service area.
• OSHA and First Aid certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install custom wood products, cabinetry, casework, solid-surface materials, wall panel systems, and related millwork.
• Read and interpret architectural plans and installation details.
• Field-fit, trim, scribe, level, and securely fasten products per requirements.
• Complete installations accurately and per CAM quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, general contractors, and other trades.
• Identify field conditions and communicate concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Care for tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
• Complete punch-list and warranty work when required.
• Follow all safety requirements.
