Job summary

Carter Architectural Millwork Installation Specialist is responsible for installing custom wood products, wood moldings, cabinetry, solid-surface materials, wall panel systems, and other architectural millwork on commercial construction projects.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well with others, and understands the importance of representing Carter Architectural Millwork professionally on every jobsite.

Qualifications

• Experience installing commercial cabinetry, millwork or wall panel systems preferred.
• Ability to read plans, shop drawings and field measurements.
• Knowledge of installation tools, equipment, and fastening methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift and maneuver materials and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Willing to travel to project locations and stay overnight as required; travel may cover Georgia and CAM service area.
• OSHA and First Aid certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install custom wood products, cabinetry, casework, solid-surface materials, wall panel systems, and related architectural millwork.
• Read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and installation details.
• Field-fit, trim, scribe, level, and securely fasten products to meet project requirements.
• Complete installations accurately and efficiently per CAM’s quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, general contractors, and other trades.
• Identify installation concerns and communicate them promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
• Complete punch-list and warranty work as needed.
• Follow all safety requirements.
