Job summary

Carter Architectural Millwork is seeking an Installation Specialist to install custom wood products, cabinetry, and wall panel systems on commercial projects. The role requires reading plans, coordinating with managers and contractors, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a field-based environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling to project locations, lifting materials, and maintaining safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Read architectural plans, shop drawings, and field measurements.
• Read and interpret installation details.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and maneuver materials and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel to project locations and stay overnight as required.

Responsibilities

• Install custom wood products, cabinetry, millwork, and wall panel systems as specified.
• Read and interpret architectural plans and installation drawings.
• Field-fit, trim, level, and securely fasten products to meet project requirements.
• Complete installations accurately and safely according to standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and contractors.
• Identify installation concerns and communicate promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
• Complete punch-list and warranty work when required.
