Additional Information
What Success Looks Like
A successful engineer at Crafted to Measure doesn't simply complete drawings. You will be expected to produce information that is:
- Accurate — dimensions, materials, hardware, and construction details are correct.
- Buildable — production can manufacture the product without having to redesign it on the shop floor.
- Complete — missing information is identified and resolved before release.
- Clear — drawings communicate effectively to customers, project managers, purchasing, production, and installers.
- Timely — engineering milestones support the overall project schedule.
- Accountable — you take ownership of your projects and follow issues through resolution.
The Person We're Looking Fo r
Our environment is best suited for someone who enjoys solving problems and building custom products rather than repeating the same drawing every day.
You will probably enjoy this position if you:
- Notice details other people miss.
- Naturally ask, "How are we actually going to build this?"
- Prefer solving a problem correctly instead of pushing incomplete information downstream.
- Take pride in producing clean, organized work.
- Communicate when something doesn't make sense instead of making assumptions.
- Can accept feedback without becoming defensive.
- Enjoy working directly with the people who will fabricate what you design.
- Want to help improve the systems and processes around you.
We are a growing company, and that means our systems will continue to evolve. We want someone who can contribute to that evolution—not someone who needs every process to already be perfect.
